Bedford Bears, formed in 1985, were one of the first specialist artist bear makers in the U.K.

Our award winning designs have found homes all over the world and we pride ourselves in making collectors bears which also conform to European safety standards CE which makes them very suitable christening presents.

We make bears to suit your needs and ready to order, we also make a continually changing range of LIMITED EDITION bears using a wide range of best quality materials including mohair, wool & cotton.

Our unique award winning Teddy Bear hand puppet is also very well known around the world and has featured in many TV programs.

Ann-Marie has been committed to British arts and crafts for over 35 years and intends to pass on the creative principles of English teddy bear making to her family.  To this end Ann-Marie is training her granddaughter, Danielle, to follow in her footsteps in order to keep the tradition of English teddy bear making alive.  Danielle, also highly creative, has already taken a prominent position in the company and will balance her academic life with continuing the great traditions of designing and making future generations of Bedford Bears.

Our full range of bears are always available from our stall on the world famous Covent Garden Craft Market every Wednesday & Sunday from 10.30am to 6.00pm or by mail order, with a variety of payment methods also available.
