Bedford Bears Ltd produces a range of mohair traditional English limited edition collectors teddy bears and uniquely designed, expressive, easily animated, hand puppets made in a range of plush materials, all carefully handcrafted by bear-artist Ann Marie-Owen.

The company was established in 1985 during the formative period of the, now fashionable, bear-artist designer. Designs follow a traditional theme, capturing the charm and character of English teddy bears of the late 1940 and early 1950 period.  All Ann-Marie's artist bears are designed and hand-made in England.

We are members of the British Toymakers Guild and have, over the years, received awards for our distinctive designs.

Ann-Marie’s beautiful range of highly collectable handmade limited edition teddy bears are made from the finest mohair to her own traditional English teddy bear designs, for those ranging from the discerning collector to anyone who would just like to own a timeless keepsake.  Bears are finished in a wide range of colours and fabric textures to suit the needs of most people.

A range of commemoration teddy bears can be supplied to mark any unique occasion: christening bears, wedding bears, birthday bears, wedding anniversary bears, or as a collectors bear to fit an existing collection… or for start of that very special new collection!
